Well the Rapture came and went and, whaddya know — NONE of us went anywhere. Guess that might make some of us a little less faithful.  Or something.

Meanwhile, back at Soundhouse, Jack Endino is channeling the “inner seattle animal spirits in a most tasty manner” of Seattle Punk/ Metal band Heiress.

Reportedly the drummer kicks ass and got all his takes done on the first day and they are
ahead of schedule”.

Can’t wait to hear it!

The Brazilians went off with Jack to master their album this morning and before they’d left, Steve Fisk came in with four brothers from the Congo. There is nothing more inspiring and uplifting than seeing people really, really into their music. Especially when they’re kids. I’m not sure how old they are but I’d guess the range is somewhere between 12 and 18. Or younger. Naturals. I really hope you get a chance to hear what we recorded here today.

mike here.

I just got a Universal Audio 2-610 for the studio. It happens to be the exact same piece of gear that introduced me into the world of nice mic pres and I’m excited to have it around.

Jack has been busy taking care of any and all noise/grounding issues and we have a clean bill of health! Just in time for Matthew Barnhart to come in with Chris Brokaw last weekend.

Jack’s mixing some Dirt Worshipper tomorrow….

Otherwise, we’re taking care of the last of the technical details (Like labeling wires, very exciting.) and planning the Soundhouse Grand Re-Opening party!

… have all been in the studio taking advantage of the “new and improved” Soundhouse!

Stag | Key Note Speaker | Red Vienna | Crystal Antlers
